Lake Run Club Board Meeting
Tuesday, August 2, 2011
Swingers Grille - Bloomington, IL

Attendees:  Jessica Gieson, Mitch Hobbs, Julie Howell, Kevin McCarthy, Rebecca Payne, Tim Rood, Tom Arbogast

Membership (Julie Howell):  Paul created a member template in Excel.  New member data can now be uploaded rather than input by Julie.  New members joining after September 1st will receive membership through 2012.

Households: 564

Newsletter (Vicki & Bob King):  Check-out on-line newsletter for club and member updates.  No report at this time.

Treasurer (Bob Lambert):  Request to purchase software to prepare financials approved by board.  Increase in shirt expenses is being analyzed and watched.

Billing/Advertising (Cathie Haab):  No report at this time.

Volunteer Committee (Jill Usiak):  Volunteer on-line sign-up working well.  Please continue to volunteer!

Kid’s Run:  First year at Bloomington High School went well, more re-cap next meeting.

Park-2-Park:  Board recapped race and is considering forming board member committee to fill race director position.

Upcoming Circuit Races:  Evergreen 5K

New Business:

·         Winter Break Clinic – Mitch is exploring


Old Business:

·         Equipment tracking/management – If you need access to the shed please contact Tim Rood to make arrangements.

·         LRC site redesign – LRC site currently consists of three separate sites.  Merger of the sites will continue to be discussed by the technological owner of each.

·         Summer training program – Women’s only training program had 45 participants.  No target race, however Evergreen 5K follows training.

·         Marathon program – Kevin will follow-up on Advocate Healthcare use of program.


The next board meeting will be at 7pm on Tuesday, October 4 at Swingers Grille.  All meetings are open to the public.
